ADD.....7/25z^3 + 1/35z^2 ADD.....7/25z^3 + 1/35z^2 @Mathematics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the powers of the zs are not the same so they cannot be added unless you have a value for z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont underdstand what that means. I know i have to factor out each denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have that part so far

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

(7/25)z3 +(1/35)z2 =(1/5)z2((7/5)z +(1/7))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that can't be simplified. if you have x^2 and x^1, you can't add them because the powers aren't the same. that is as far as you can go unless the tell you what z equals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer is (49+5Z)/(175Z^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ugh i see what i did wrong!

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

(1/5)z2((49z +5)/35)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its getting me on the multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks yall

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you like it hence ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

understandably for you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont really understand it much it takes me like 3 or 4 times to work the problem and my answers are always different lol

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

there is 35 like denominator because 35 is the common denominator for 5 and 7
