The surface area of the label is a rectangle. Imagine that you take th elabel off of the can, unrolled it, and layed it flat. The formula for finding its area would be base times height, just like any other rectangle. The height is the heigh of the can, and the base is the circumference of the lid. C=2 pi r C=2 pi (4) C=8pi 302=Ch 302=8 pi h h=12.732 Round to nearest whole number: 13 cm
