This is a calc 3 question. A trough is 16 ft long. Its cross sections are isosceles triangles. Equal sides are 18 feet long. The angle between the two sides is theta. Write the volume of the trough as a function of theta. The answer is (18sin[theta])(18cos[theta])(16)(12). Can someone please help me understand where the 12 comes from? The rest I see.
