Hello all. Although I made a positive start on the MOOC I was sadly overtaken by events at my university. However, following the daily emails from the MOOC has enabled me to discover some amazing resources - I can highly recommend The Digital Scholar by Martin Weller. This cropped up in week 3 and I've spent the last four weeks reading the whole book. It provides an excellent summary of the challenges facing HE in 2011 and makes interesting comparisons with both the Journalism and Music industries. Like you tony, work has overtaken my MOOC participation. School reports are coming up so my participation is probably going to suffer even more :( I've found following Stephen Downes has allowed me to dip in and out as I can with the OER idea which I'm most interested in.
I am struggling with keeping up with the Change11 MOOC as well! Work, holidays, travel, my own doctoral work...Yikes!
