18x^3-33x^2-63x-21/6x+3 solve using divison

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use long division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I gotta figure this one out it will take a minute or so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok that is fine thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you there man?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup I got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok cool thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18x^3-33x^2-63x-21 can be factored into (6x+3)(3x^2-7x-9) then you divide it by (6x+3); (6x+3)(3x^2-7x-9)/(6x+3) cancel out the (6x+# since when you divide (6x+3)/(6x+3)=1 so the answer would be y=3x^2-7x-9

I didn't show you how I did the long division but I used it to factor the polynomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its fine
