Anybody know any negative qualities of a king? I am writing a paper on andrew jackson agreeing that he acted like a king. I want to add negative qualities of kings in general on my intro paragraph. Kings, in many cases, are lazy self centered brats. The selfish desirous of a king have been know to sometimes catch up with them. e.g. King Saul from the Bible allowed his personal selfish desires to get in the way of his duty to country by hunting down and trying to kill soon to be king David. Kings, generally automatically command the loyalty of all their people therefore they use use that loyalty to manipulate the people.
