Matthew was 1200 yards ahead when lowe began his pursuit. if lowe ran 3 times fast as matthew and overtook him in 30 minutes, how fast did each boy run?

1200+30x=90x, 1200=60x 20 yards/min = x = matthew's speed 60 yards/min = Iowe's speed.

20yards/min = 1 foot per second 60yards/min = 3 feet per second
