I missed class this week and can't figure out how to reduce fractions. ex. -30x/45xsquared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= -2/3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide the numerator and denominator by the GCD.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the greatest common factor between the numerator and denominator and simplify them. In the example you gave the greatest common factor would be 15. 15 * -2 is -30 and 15 * 3 is 45 So it simplifies to: -2/3x
