A student is riding a bike at a speed of 17 mph. How many minutes will it take for the student to travel 2.5 miles to a friends house?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Use the formula, \[speed=\frac{distance}{time}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say if hes traveling 17 mph hes traveling at a speed of 3min .5 sec. per mile. at 2.5 miles he would have traveled in 8min .7 sec. hope its right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's about 8 mins & a few seconds. you divide 2.5 into 17. & you get your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you multiply the two
