ok so first take the letters and replace them with their numbers what do you get?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I get 168=150(1+0.08t)
OpenStudy (eyust707):
ok now divide both sides by 150
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So I would divide 168/150 and 150/0.08 ?
OpenStudy (eyust707):
168/150 is correct but on the other side you would get (150(1+.08t))/150

in other word the entire other side has to be divided by 150
OpenStudy (eyust707):
see what i did?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes, I do.
OpenStudy (eyust707):
ok so then theres a lil trick you can do when you have two of the same numbers divided by each other...

Well I divided 168/150 = 1.12
OpenStudy (eyust707):
ok.. so thats the left side.. and what about the right side that cancels out
OpenStudy (eyust707):
the two 150's cancel out and you end up with...
