\[\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{x}{\sqrt{x^2+7}}\]

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

how should i write that on wolf?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

like this:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first you have to understand that if \[u=x^2+7\]and \[y=\sqrt{u}\]then \[y=\sqrt{x^2+7}\] so you could write that in, but you can do this in your head

OpenStudy (anonymous):

somewhere in all this mess ts the derivative http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=sqrt%28x%5E2%2B7%29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the next one just asks for \[\frac{dy}{du}\] so if \[y=u^{53}\] then \[\frac{dy}{du}=53u^{52}\]
