Wolframalpha help please? Change scale of graph they show? Wolframalpha help please? Change scale of graph they show? @Mathematics

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

For example in here http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=++y%3D%28%281%2F2%29x%29%5E2+++++

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

What is the input you are using? (just copy / paste it)

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

ALSO if you want to change your window size easily, just get Geogebra. http://www.geogebra.org

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

I should do another demo of geogebra here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you write their algorithms?

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

y=((1/2)x)^2 is what I put in

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

What would you like the window to be on that function?

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

Uhm maybe about -16 to 16?

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

Is the software you are talking about free?

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Type this: plot y=((1/2)x)^2 x = -16 to 16 and y = -16 to 16

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Geogebra, yes it is free and it is awesome.

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

Thanks =)

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

You can plot any function or functions you like, AND you can pan and zoom easily. It is seriously the best thing for graphing I have ever seen. :D

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

I think I'll get it ;) thanks for your advice
