A mass of 7.10 kg rests on a smooth surface inclined 32.5o above the horizontal. It is kept from sliding down the plane by a spring attached to the wall. the spring is aligned with the plane and has a spring constant of 117 N/m. How much does the spring stretch? Did you draw a FBD? Remember that "a smooth surface" implies no friction. So that means two forces are acting on the mass: gravity and spring force. Resolving the force of gravity into components (parallel and perpendicular to the plane) should help you see the solution.
