In the following correctly worked addition sum, A,B,C and D represent different digits, and all the digits in the sum are different. What is the sum of A,B,C and D? 5A BC __________ D43 I got the right answer, but wanted to see if anyone approaches the question differently. Thx!

the 5 + B would have to be 14, therefore the D must be 1, so the B could be a 8 or 9 depending if you carry or not. The 3 could be from 1 + 2 or from 8 + 5..... However if the D has to be 1 then the A and C must be 8 and 5 so there must be a carry of a 1 and so the 8 must be a B.. That is my guess.
