Whats the base of a triangle is 3 cm greater than the height . the area is 27 cm^2. find the height and lengh of the base.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

\[Area = \frac 12 (b)(h)\] \[27 = \frac 12 (x+3)(x)\] Solving for x will give us, x = 6. so 6 is height. and 9 is base.
