How do i go about studying for pre calculus ? How do i go about studying for pre calculus ? @Mathematics
Take a book and study.
No duh?
The same way you study just about anything, and particularly how you study mathematics. Read things over a couple of times. And in mathematics, make sure you do lots of exercises, because there is nearly always a big difference between thinking you understand a concept versus actually using a concept.
Hmm... it's a pretty broad area. I'd say make sure your algebra is good, particularly factorisation and dealing with polynomials. Get comfortable with systems of equations, solving linear equations etc. Understand powers and exponents and all the little tricks and turns, including negative and non-integer exponents etc. I can't remember if I learnt about functions in or prior to calculus... either way get a good feel for them. Learn the interval notation and get good at graphing things. Try and find a text book that covers things leading up to and then the introductory aspects of calculus, as it will be full of far more useful information than anyone can just tell you to go and study. You can't really summarise it in a sentence.
@JamesJ:Have you studied abstract algebra yet?
