I'm just starting out in trying to teach myself the foundations of code and programming. I have a desire to educate myself since I can't afford school right now. Any suggestions on where to start? I've been doing some ground work with C# and a little javaScript.
It really depends on what you are looking for. I would point to or MIT 6.00 Introduction to Computer Science @ OCW (more introductory course stuff, really good, plus it uses Python, simple and efficient language), or cs50.tv @harvard, more in depth course, using C, also great lectures. Check these links: ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/ and http://cs50.tv/2010/fall/
I'd recommend Stanford's "Programming Methodology" CS106A. http://see.stanford.edu/see/courses.aspx
