Need help differentiating this function, thank you! F(x)=(2-x^2)/(7+x^2) please tell me how you did it step by step, if that isn't to much to ask. I'm also going to post what i did. Using the quotient rule: G x derivative of F - derivative of G x F / (G)^2 \[(7+X^2)(-2x)-(2x)(2-X^2)/(7+x^2)^2 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-14x-2x^3-24x-2X^3 / (7-x^2)^2 \] combine like terms -> \[-4x^3-18x/(7-X^2)^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry not -24x its -4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Second step...should have a + 2x^3 for the last term in the numerator...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So they cancel, giving just -18x on top.

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

f'(x) = -18x/(x^2+7)^2

ah ok, late night mistake ... thank you guys i appreciate it! :-)
