Can someone help me with this?? http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/2352/webworkma105007umdf1104.png If you can, can you explain how you did it?

for first one note that \[\frac{2}{5}=.4\] so \[\log(.4)=\log(\frac{2}{5})=\log(2)-\log(5)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so answer to first one is \[u-v\] others are similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gimmick is to try and write the input as powers of 2 and 5 or combinations of them. for example \[.25=\frac{1}{4}=2^{-2}\] so \[\log(.25)=\log(2^{-2})=-2\log(2)=-2u\] etc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2u is wrong for the second one :(
