can the speed of a sound wave is slower or faster than a electromagnetic wave?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sound waves rely on air particles physically touching each other and thus are quite slow; electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light. Think of lightning - you see the flash (an electromagnetic wave travelling at the speed of light) well before you hear the thunder (a sound wave travelling through air)

Also, your question makes more sense like this: "Is the speed of a sound wave slower or faster than an electromagnetic wave?" Just a thought :)
