Write an inequality that describes this situation. Let c represent the number of cans of food that must be collected by the end of the third week for your class to meet or surpass your goal. b. How many cans are needed to meet or surpass your goal?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

c needs to be greather than or equal to 101

OpenStudy (lilg132):

101 cans

OpenStudy (lilg132):

let me know if you want me to explain how i got that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes please explain how you got that? thank you so much

OpenStudy (lilg132):

ok so we need 325 cans and so far we have got 135 cans and 89 cans so we add 135 with 89 which gives us 224 cans we minus 325 cans with 224 cans and get 101 cans left over. this is the amount of cans we will need to reach our target so we can write this as c \[\ge\] 101 and we have already worked out that we need 101 cans to reach our target so thats the answer to question b :) Please dont forget to give me a medal or a good answer :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):
