what is 3(3x+2) minus 3(3x-1)

OpenStudy (lilg132):

so we need to simplify it first lets start with the first bracket you have to multiply everything with whats outside the bracket so at the moment we have 3 outside the bracket and we need to multiply 3 with everything inside the first bracket so you will get 9x + 6 this is the first bracket expanded now to do the second bracket you need to multiply everything inside the bracket with what is outside which is -3 so you will get -9x + 3 and to simplify it further we should bring both expanded brackets together so you should get 9x + 6 - 9x + 3 rearrange abit to make it easier bring all the variables together and whole numbers together so you will get 9x - 9x + 6 + 3 which equals to x + 9 Please dont forget to give me a medal :D
