OpenStudy (anonymous):

The major parts of a plant body are: Shoot system - It contains the upper part of the plant, i.e., the leaves, the trunk, the branches, flowers, buds, fruits etc. Root system - It is the part of the plant below the soil. It consists of the roots. In some plants, even a part of the stem may come under the root system, as in potato plant.

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Plant organs are divided into vegetative and reproductive. Vegetative include -> Root, Stem and Leaf. The reproductive organ does depend on the type of plant -> angiosperms (your flowering plants.. most common) they are the flower, seed and fruit. conifers -> cone And there are more divisions from there in more basic plants. From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organ_%28anatomy%29 Root, shoot and reproductive systems are organ systems (groups of organs) :)
