I need help converting units.. 5 lit; qt
5.283. For every quart the is .946 liters.
.5 liters x quarts ------- * ------- 1 1 liter i got no idea how many quarts in a liter tho; id have to google it
I'm confused on how to convert in general.
I've seen all the tables but they're not doing much for me
if you can find a ratio of what your looking to convert from and to, its just a matter of multipling by the ration
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=kjrmc&cp=11&gs_id=30&xhr=t&q=liters+to+quarts&pf=p&sclient=psy-ab&source=hp&pbx=1&oq=liters+to+q&aq=0&aqi=g4&aql=f&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=f24f35ccac4b62f6&biw=1024&bih=677 google says 1 liter is about 1.057 quarts, so x = 1.057 in the conversion
.5 liters x quarts ------- * ------- 1 1 liter .5 liters 1.057 quarts ------- * ----------- 1 1 liter the liter and liter cancel; and your left with just: .5 * 1.057 quarts
the calculator says that equals .5285 quarts then which is good since they are about the same to begin with
so my book say 2 pt. = 1 quart so would I plug in 2 there ?
the ration itself is a form of a value of "1"
pts arent liters or quarts so it doesnt help us get to an end goal
what is the conversion of 5 eggs in seashells? if the conversion rate is 3 eggs = 20 seashells we get: 5 eggs 20 seashells ------ * ----------- 1 3 eggs which the "eggs" cancel and we are left with 5*20/3 seashells for a conversion
which would be 33.3 seashells ?
yep
Oh I get it ! Thank youu !!
once you got a ratio for conversion; make sure the bottom cancels out the top :)
