what is this ?
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
No idea.
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

what is 6th partial sum?
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
no idea.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah like it kind of looks like (a)(r)^n
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Could be .. I am yet to study sequence and series in detail.. :(
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Answer only. :D

as that comes right after those covergence and divergence stuf
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
so no1 knows it. :(
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i'm looking at it it's been a long while
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
:/

thanks for trying..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you could move it up and use a geometric series lol
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
LOL
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I guess I got it!! :D
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Yay! :D

got what?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
did you do 4 yet those are super easy
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
no, i just did 1st one..
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
rest 4 are here.

4 is conergent
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
i dont want to learn them man!
just give me the answer. :/
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
4 = option?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lolz saifoo that's not a good thing :P
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
lol, c'mon.. sometimes it's good.

it's convergent however that n-1 is throwing me off because the formula is ar^n
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
:/
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I think that 5th one is not convergent ..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it diverges |5|>0
OpenStudy (anonymous):
>1 i mean

yeah ....
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
so, question 5, option B or C?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1335 number 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4 is B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
B for numer 5 if its 0<|r|<1

is not satisfied
OpenStudy (anonymous):
5 is also B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
again thanks I learned a new terminology :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4 is also B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
saifoo for the partial sums i'd just use an integral

from 15 to 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
^^ right that would be a good approach !!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
later on you find out you can use integrals to find the sums of series.. .which is basically what area is
OpenStudy (anonymous):
^^ that has some beautiful use in probability theory too .. ;)
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Q 5 = b
Q 4 = b.
question 2 and 3?

3 is 1246
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Thanks btw
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Q 2?
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
any guesses?

still working on it... trying to find a way without having to actually tally each one u
OpenStudy (anonymous):
could use a integral again XD
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hold on
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
=D

I just woke up mans :P

LOL, im not being that.

Fine then douchebag
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hmm this seems weird cause #2 is a geometric series that diverges
OpenStudy (mimi_x3):
saifi, any examples ?
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
outkast, any doubt? i will go for it.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well i did it one by one and i'm still not getting an answer there

OpenStudy (anonymous):
oohh wait
OpenStudy (anonymous):
stupid notations...
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
i will brb in 5mins.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
9555 is answer for #2 ... just not sure how they did it without doing each and every becuase the geometric test only works for when |r|<1

Q 3 went wrong, rest all correct. :D

whbat did you put for number 3
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i keep getting 1246 using an integral
