If point C is the midpoint of , what is the coordinate of point B? A=(-6, -3) C=(-3, -5) A.(–3, 1) B.(–9, 2) C.(–1, –8) D.(0, –7) If point C is the midpoint of , what is the coordinate of point B? A=(-6, -3) C=(-3, -5) A.(–3, 1) B.(–9, 2) C.(–1, –8) D.(0, –7) @Mathematics

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

if C is midpoint of AB, then its co-ordinates should be the average of A and B co-ordinates lets call co-ordinates of B (x,y). then we have\[-3=(-6+x)/2\]\[-5=(-3+y)/2\] this gives us x=0, y=-7. so answer is D.

oops sorry yes it is the midpoint of AB. it just disappeared. okay thank you so much! :D
