How do you solve a slope intersect form equation? @Mathematics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give an example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk man i dont have my notes on me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Arjuna you forgot about the y intercept b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well slope intercept form is y=mx+b to find the slope of a line you take y2-y1/x2-x1 and to find the point slope its y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh cool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. this is all quite important because we use this in calculus as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can u give me an example with real numbers? Its harder for me to understand with veriables.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>.> this has to do with graph but I will try.
