Two polygons are congruent and the perimeter of the first polygon is 24 cm. If the sides of the second polygon are consecutive integers (x, x+1, x+2, x+3, etc.), what value of x makes the polygons into congruent triangles? Use x as the smallest side. So you have the first triangle having a perimeter of 24cm. Since they are congruent, the second one also has the same perimeter. It's perimeter is also x+(x+1)+(x+2) which is the sum of 3 sides. So you have x+(x+1)+(x+2)=24
