Evaluate 2 – x(9 + x2) for x = -2. Please show all of your work. @Pre-Algebra

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

2 – x(9 + x^2) 2 – (-2)(9 + (-2)^2) 2 – (-2)(9 + 4) 2 – (-2)(13) 2 – (-26) 2+26 28 So 2 – x(9 + x^2) = 28 when x = -2

OpenStudy (agreene):

2-(-2)(9+(-2)^2) 2+2(9+4) 2+2(13) 2+26 28
