Consider the quadratic equation f(x)=2x-x^2. Express f in vertex form. Find the extreme value of f(x) and classify it as a local maximum or local minimum

OpenStudy (turingtest):

f'(x)=2-2x=0--->x=1 f''(x)=-2<0 (concave down) so f(1) is a maximum I don't remember what vertex form is.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

f(1)=1 by the way; that's the answer to your question.
