How do you write "A is the set of even whole numbers that are less than 18" in roster form? How do you write A using set-builder notation? How do you write "A is the set of even whole numbers that are less than 18" in roster form? How do you write A using set-builder notation? @Mathematics

In roster form you just list all the elements of the set. In our case, we have \(A=\{0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16\}\). In set-builder notation we write is as \(A=\{x|x<18, \text{ x is a whole even number}\}\).

@AnwarA what does the x|x mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@EricaKalmeta the line in the middle of, xlx, means "such that". For example: { xlx is a name that begins with A} You would write it like this, x, such that, x is a name that begins with A. I'm in connections academy too.. :3 -Aliyah
