Can anyone introduce Conway's Game of Life, as well as cellular automata, to me?
please no wikipedia links! :-(
Dude, why is it that I can never answer a single one of any of your questions. I think I know why. You're clearly pursuing a degree in galactic domination
or copypasta
lol what's wrong with my questions they are all elementary stuff :-(
If it's so elementary, why are you here asking questions?
because sometimes I have difficulty grasping the elementary stuff :(
Why no wikipedia links? It has a great description, and even some great animations. When I was looking in to it a while ago that's right where I went, and it had all the info I needed to implement a simulator, and more. It gives the basic description of the game, its history, higher-level concepts and constructs, links to deeper/more rigorous treatments of the topic, and links to programs that will play out the game from an initial configuration (with different levels of efficiency). You could easily waste half a day on wikipedia and the web starting at that page. In fact, in defiance of your explicit commandment, and despite how easy it is to find it (first result on Google), I'm posting the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway%27s_Game_of_Life
thanks for that :-D
Wait, so you mean I could have posted a wiki link all this time? :-(
It's like asking someone, "What's 2+2. Don't say 4." Wikipedia IS the answer in this case.
Exactly, lol
I like the youtube video on it.
See Ago, I could have helped you a long time ago. I think that was about 5 wasted hours
Matter of fact, I'm going to read up on it. I might learn something
wait a sec, I already learned about this already. Didn't even realize it.
wow, you did? why didn't you explain it to me then? :(
told you it was elementary stuff :-P
