Systems of equations with different slopes and different y-intercepts have one solution. Is it sometimes??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

This is always true. If the slopes are equal, then two possible scenarios might happen: a) there are no solutions b) there are an infinite number of solutions Now if the slopes are not equal, then only one other possible case is left. This case is that there is only one solution.
