Select one of the factors of 3x2 + 4x - 4 (1 points) Answer (x + 4) (3x + 2) (3x - 2) (x - 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no do it urself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will you teach me ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3x^2 + 4x - 4 \] here u need to solve for x do one thing multiply first terms coefficient with the last term coefficient and see what u get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what u get???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show an example , im not good without examples /

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see here first term is 3x^2 so coefficent is 3 last term is 4 and coefficient is 4 only so 3 multiplied by 4 is equal to 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that clear ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it like Solving a System of Equations through Elimination

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first learn it...........it is factorization

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u have 12 now factorize 12 = 2*2*3 now u have to add or subtract these factors in such a way that u have the middle term \[3x^2 + 4x - 4 = 3x^2 + 6x - 2x - 4\] \[=> 3x(x + 2) -2 ( x + 2)\] \[=> (x+2)(3x-2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try to understand it !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im trying , math is just not my thing . and i have no one to help me in my family

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it just takes me a while to really understand things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok m here only if still having difficulty ask me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well thank you so much . (: i really do apperiate it (:
