A newspaper headline states that "the rate of growth of the national deficit is increasing". What does this mean? What does it say about the graph of the deficit as a function of time? @Mathematics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it just says that the graph increases quadratically or something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or in other words: as time elapses, the national deficit grows faster :-P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means the government is spending money faster than ever before. It's sad, really.
