Can someone help me with this?? I really can't get it :( http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/2352/webworkma105007umdf1104.png I have asked it before, the guy gave me the first answer, which was: u-v and its correct

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

do you mean "...and its NOT correct"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is, but i need the other 3 and I dont know how to do it. I asked my tutor and her answers were not right either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U-V is the correct answer for the first one. Cause Log(2)/Log(5) (I think it was) is = log(.4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The same guy on OpenStudy that gave me the first answer, told me the answer for the second one:-2u, but it was wrong. That's what my tutor got too, and it was wrong.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

ok, what you need to do is express each one in terms of just log(2) and log(5), so we have for (b):\[log(0.25)=log(1/4)=log(4^{-1})=-log(4)=-log(2^2)=-2log(2)=-2u\] follow similar steps for the others.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2u is wrong :( mentioned it before you posted your answer

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

it is not wrong - what makes you think it is wrong?

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

try this in wolframalpha: http://www2.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=log%280.25%29%2B2log%282%29

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

it shows log(0.25)+2log(2)=0 which means log(0.25)=-2log(2)=-2u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well its an online homework, and I have an unlimited amount of tries. And it's saying -2u is wrong :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Other than that, the past 2-3 people i have had try it for me, they got -2u too.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

then either the online program is wrong or the question is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know, im going to my teacher tomorrow about it. Thanks, could you help me with the other logrithim question I posted? Wolfram + my tutor could not get it either

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

do you mean (c) and (d)?
