there were either 30, 33, 36 or 39 coins in the jar...since the '0' is right next to the '-' key i assume you meant 30... in which case, let x = number of quarters, y = number of dimes x + y = 30 0.25x + 0.10y = 6.15 solution: x = 21, y = 9
