what is the lysosome.and where is it in plant cells or in animals

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Lysosome are membrane covered vesicle containing enzyms. Lysosome act as cleavage system for material recorded in the cell by endocytosis, particularly phagocytosis, or own cellular material such as discarded organelles. They are found in the cytoplasm in cells but when they are going to be used they are trasported to the cellmembrane and then do exocytose.
