Mrs. Kline's garden has an area of 32 square feet. If she enlarges the garden by doubling the length of each side, what will be the area of the new, larger garden? @Geometry

You know the formula of a square is side*side=area. Unfortunately 32 is not a perfect square meaning you can't take the square root and get a whole number. So, multiple each side by 2 to double: 2sqrt(32)*2sqrt(32))=new area Answer: 128 square feet
