Find a general (closed) formula for the sequence {Tn} defined as: T_1 = 3 T_2 = 20 T_3 = 5*[T_(n-1)] I'm using the underscore to denote a subscriptFind a general (closed) formula for the sequence {Tn} defined as: T_1 = 3 T_2 = 20 T_3 = 5*[T_(n-1)] I'm using the underscore to denote a subscript@Mathematics

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

I feel it should be something like 3 + 5*(something)? but I dunno how to take care of just making it equal to 3 for n = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it suppose to be:\[T_1=3,T_2=20,T_n=5T_{n-1}\]?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

yes that's it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then shouldnt T_2 be 15? and not 20? or the problem gave that to you?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

they have 20 in the problem

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

i dunno im thinking it might be a typo i dunno how it makes sense lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then the 3 doesnt matter then? because the next term is obtained by multiplying by 5. 3, 20, 100, 500, 2500, etc.
