The nucleus contains all the chromosomes and almost all the genetic material of any eukaryotic cell.

um... sort of. That's probably more of a loose analogy though. Just try to describe the things it does (code for proteins, regulate cellular homeostasis by regulating chemical concentrations through the activation and deactivation of areas in the genome, etc.)
