Plz explain linear equations!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A linear equation looks like any other equation. It is made up of two expressions set equal to each other. A linear equation is special because: It has one or two variables. No variable in a linear equation is raised to a power greater than 1 or used as the denominator of a fraction. When you find pairs of values that make the linear equation true and plot those pairs on a coordinate grid, all of the points for any one equation lie on the same line. Linear equations graph as straight lines. hop that helps

Can you use an example with real numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are examples of linear expressions: x + 4 2x + 4 2x + 4y These are not linear expressions: x2 (no exponents on variables) 2xy + 4 (can't multiply two variables) 2x / 4y (can't divide two variables) √x <="" td=""> (no square root sign on variables)

thanks man

np if anything let me know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u write and solve a linear equation for me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like write out an example using real numbers write out a linear equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):
