yes , 5 in the y coordinate is just the number that is by itself in the function . so for example if we have only ... f(x) = 5 it is only a line across the whole plane. however, the other part is identify with the power that the variable is raised to .. so if it is an even power the graph will look different ... i will show u an example of an even power graph ... that is how odd poer graphs look |dw:1320796852567:dw| that f(x) = x^2
