Using slope-intercept form: y=mx+b, with m=1/5 and passing through the point (2,6) we have: \[y=(1/5)x+b\] \[-6=(1/5)(2)+b\] \[-30=2+5b\] \[-32=5b\] \[(-32/5)=b\]The Slope Intercept form would be: \[y=(1/5)x-(32/5)\] And standard form would be: \[x-5y-32=0\] Did that answer your question?
