0=6x^2+12x+10
Divde the 6 to all of the numbers
x^2+2x +10/6= 0
Simplify
x^2 +2x+ 5/3 =0
Move the 5/3 to other side by subtracting it.
x^2 +2x + (Box)= 5/3 +(box)
x^2 +2x + (1) = 5/3 +(1)
(x+1)^2 = 8/3 5/3+1 =5/3 +3/3
Square root both sides
x+1= square root of 8/3
subtract 1 which is x= 1+ or - square root of 8/3
