Solve for x .14 = e^(-.02)x+e^(-.01)x If you could post all of the steps it would be appreciated.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[0.14 = xe^{-.02}+xe^{-.01}\]is it this?????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup pretty much.. I'm just lost on isolating x.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Very easy; factor out the x, then divide:\[0.14=x(e^{-0.02}+e^{-0.01})\to x={0.14\over e^{0.02}+e^{0.01}}\]
