Communism is where the one single person for example (Joseph Stalin) leads his entire country by his choice. Capitalism is an economic system that became dominant in the western world following the demise of feudalism.

Communism is a political theory based around the idea of economic equality and cooperative economic ownership and are striving for the benefit of the people. Capitalism is a political theory based on private ownership of economic factors [Resources/Services] who are striving for profit.

Also, for better treatment of workers.

Communism in and of itself has nothing to do with a dictatorship. Just as Capitalism in and of itself has nothing to do with a republic, it's just how they have generally presented themselves.
