I have a problem that complicates calculating the impact force from a falling object. Here it is: My first calculation determines the force of a 1 pound object falling 5 feet and traveling .o3m after contact. This is easy to do, but here is my complication. The falling object is wrapped to protect it, but what if I put another identical 1 pound wrapped object on top of it and drop them? Does the wrapping between the objects cause the top object to have the same impact force as the bottom? Does the force on the bottom object change? Thanks!
