Take the derivative and set it equal to 0 y'=-3x^2+6x=-3x(x-2)=0 x=2, x=0 Test the derivative for the intervals created by these values ( i use test points in the intervals) y'(-1)<0 y'(1)>0 y'(3)<0 Since the derivative changes from positive to negative at x=2, a relative max occurs there
