Greg drew a pair of parallel lines and a line segment next to each other on a chalkboard. Which of these statements best compares the pair of parallel lines and the line segment? Answer Parallel lines and the line segment have no dimensions of measurement. The parallel lines extend infinitely in both directions and the line segment has two endpoints. The parallel lines and the line segment always meet at a common endpoint which is called the vertex. Parallel lines and a line segment cannot lie on the same plane at the same time because they do not overlap.

Hmmm, I say it's "The parallel lines extend infinitely in both directions and the line segment has two endpoints. "

I thought that too, thanks

OpenStudy (aroub):

Oh, great! no problem :)

one more question if you dont mind Melissa is making a pattern which has a flower in a circle for a quilt. She is also making the exact replica of a rectangle with a length of 3 inches and width of 5 inches. Which of these statements correctly describes the pattern and the rectangle? Answer The pattern is a sketch and the rectangle is a construction. The rectangle is a construction and the pattern is a drawing. Both are sketches because they do not require the use of geometric measurement tools. Both are constructions because they cannot be made without the use of geometric measurement tools.

OpenStudy (aroub):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last one

OpenStudy (aroub):

Yeah! I was think it may be the last one too... beacuse in order to make a circle on quilt you have to use "geometric measurement tools" and for a recatangle it's the same thing! :)
